ABV: 55.0%
Region: Highlands
Price per bottle: °°°
Bottling: eSpirits Whisky for Liquid Treasures
Cask type: Bourbon Hogshead

Colour: Pale straw.
Nose: The nose starts off with lingering tropical fruit - banana and apricots in particluar. Quite oily with typical notes of beeswax. There's citric fruit coming through, along with luscious gooseberry and a pleasant touch of blossom honey. Delightful and very aromatic.
Palate: A sweet start on the palate with ripe tropical fruit, stewed banana and apricots. This is immediately followed by an explosion of spicy flavours with cracked black pepper, chilli and oak. Fairly mouthfilling with gentle dark honey and a touch of Seville orange peels towards the finish. Rich and warm.
Finish: The finish is long and warm with a delicate sweetness, lingering honey and a bit of fruity flavours. Quite oily with a pleasant beeswax note. Dry oak and cloves on the tail. Deliciously mouthcoating.
With water: There's more tropical fruit on the nose, with some additional melon and peach flavours. Quite fruity with warm and prickling spice on the palate but the sweetness counters. The finish is medium long with delicate sticky sweet honey and more beeswax on the tongue.
Comments: I was very pleased by this nice and delicate dram. A textural whisky, full of flavour. Fruity with an impressive balance of sweetness and hot spice. A good and complex bottling with a gorgeous nose.
