Nose

Instant sweetness on the nose with vanilla sauce, toffee, butterscotch and brown sugar. Delightful notes of sponge cake, cereal biscuits and fruity nuances of mirabelle and apricot, with a hint of oak spice in the background.

Palate

Deliciously sweet on the palate with vanilla pudding, toffee, butterscotch, caramel and sweet cereal notes. Pleasantly warming with a little alcoholic spiciness, followed by ginger and some oak spice. Milk chocolate with a tendency to slightly dry cocoa towards the finish.

Finish

The finish is relatively short, warming and creamy sweet with vanilla, caramel, some oak wood and a slightly bitter espresso note.

With water

After adding a few drops of water, this single grain becomes more lively on the nose with a little less sweetness but more cocoa notes. Tingly on the tongue with oak spice, milk chocolate and cocoa. The sweet notes are somewhat pushed into the background. The finish is short to medium length, creamy with notes of coffee and espresso.

Comments

This is an excellent single grain whisky for the sweet tooth. Lots of vanilla, toffee, caramel and fine fruit notes, accompanied by milk chocolate and subtle oak spice on the palate, leading to a short finish, typical for grain whisky. A dignified Easter Edition that goes perfectly with the Easter chocolate bunny.
