Nose

Fresh with lemons and white peaches, followed by vanilla, biscuits and a touch of black currant in the back. Nicely balanced with maritime air and hints of sea salt.

Palate

Sweet and fruity with vanilla and peaches. Then turns into a spicy character with white pepper, oak and crisp barley.

Finish

Long finish with sweet honey, barley sugar, oak spice and a touch of cloves.

With water

Fresh with more vanailla on the nose when a few drops of water are added, while the fruitiness is a bit tamed. Sweet and creamy on the palate with subtle fruit and less spices. The finish is a bit shorter and slightly floral, before running drier to oak.

Comments

A delicious, sweet and creamy single malt from the Isle of Islay with beautiful fruit notes, accompanied by a fresh sea breeze and a spicy core. Nicely balanced and perfectly drinkable without dilution. Quite a summer whisky.
