Nose

Fresh and fruity on the nose with grapefruit, green pear and lemonade. Then creamy notes of vanilla arrive followed by a hint of oak spice in the back. The high alcohol content isn't pungent at all!

Palate

Fresh, clean and fruity on the palate with tangerines, oranges and lemons, accompanied by a singificant warmth due to the alcohol. Creamy vanilla with a hint of white pepper and oak spice linger towards the finish.

Finish

The finish is medium long, sweet and creamy with fruit compote and a whiff of malted barley on the tail.

With water

Fresh and vibrant on the nose with a decent splash of water. More citric notes are coming through with lemons, oranges and tangerines, mixed with vanilla and spiced oak. The alcoholic bite is tamed significantly on the palate while the fruitiness and creamy vanilla notes remain stable. The finish is a bit shorter with vanilla, barley sugar and a touch of dry oak.

Comments

A tasty Aultmore from the C&S Dram Collection in cask strength that needs time to reveal its full aroma. Then, in addition to lush citrus notes, fruity notes of tangarine and pear open up, embedded in creamy vanilla and a hint of spiced oak. Despite the high alcohol content unusually fresh and vibrant. Very enjoyable both neat or diluted.
